About the Role We are currently seeking applications for Tractor Operators and Learner Locomotive Drivers within our Invicta Mill Cane Supply team in the Burdekin . These are entry level positions and involve continuous shift work during the crushing season and opportunities for overtime on penalty rates. Employment types are role dependent (Seasonal, Fixed Term, and Casual employment). The learner Loco Driver is a member of a small rail team, working with experienced Loco Drivers on our rail network delivering bins to sidings, returning full bins of cane to the mill for processing, and stepping in and out of the Loco moving point lines & counting bins. The Tractor Operator is also a member of the rail team, working with the Traffic Officers and Factory Operators moving empty bins from the weighbridge tip, and preparing rakes for the loco drivers to deliver bins to sidings. Role Requirements A Manual 'C' class driver's licence is required, and these positions are a pathway to becoming a Loco Driver. You will need to possess good communication skills to provide regular/accurate feedback, be a team player who knows the importance of teamwork and be a high energy person who loves being outdoors.
