Description About the Role We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kindergarten Teacher to lead our 4-year-old kindergarten group. You will design and deliver a rich and responsive educational program aligned with the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) and the National Quality Standard (NQS) . This is an exciting opportunity to lead a kindergarten program in a Centre that has been consistently rated as Exceeding the National Quality Standard in all seven quality areas of the National Quality Framework (NQF). As part of our team, you will: Plan and implement a high-quality, emergent curriculum that reflects children’s interests and developmental needs Foster strong relationships with children, families, colleagues, and the wider community Lead a team of co-educators with professionalism, warmth and clear communication Show initiative in developing learning opportunities, managing routines, and responding to children’s needs Work independently of management while contributing to the service’s goals and priorities Embed inclusive practices that support all children to participate, learn and thrive Actively engage in reflective practice, professional development, and continuous improvement Collaborate with leadership and peers to support a positive, respectful workplace culture Manage and implement the Quality and Improvement Plan for Raleigh St Community Kindergarten in collaboration with your co-educators Qualifications What You Bring To succeed in this role, you will have: A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (or ACECQA-approved equivalent) Current VIT registration Demonstrated ability to lead a team of educators with clarity, collaboration and care Confidence to work independently, showing initiative and strong decision-making skills A passion for early childhood education and belief in the power of play-based learning Sound knowledge of the VEYLDF, NQS, and emergent curriculum approaches Excellent communication and relationship-building skills A collaborative mindset and commitment to ongoing learning and reflection Excellent communication skills with stakeholders, both verbal and written At least 3 yrs experience working in Early Childhood Education How to Apply Email the following to [email protected] - Current CV A short cover letter outlining your interest and suitability NOTE: Contact details for at least three referees (including one current or recent employer) will be required if you are invited for interview Due to the large number of applications, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for interview Raleigh St Community Children’s Centre is committed to child safety.
