About the role We are seeking a passionate and experienced electrical engineering team lead within the Engineering Studies to drive excellence and play a key role in achieving their strategic goals. Key Responsibilities Support, build and empower a high performing team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages open communication and knowledge sharing. Foster a strong safety culture by driving awareness of Safety in Design (SiD) processes. Ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards. Oversee the design activities of their respective engineering portfolios, communicate with stakeholders and act as an escalation point for their respective team to ensure timely delivery of high-quality designs. Collaborate with Engineering Delivery Team, Capital Delivery Team and Infrastructure Planning and Strategy Team to enhance program strategy and delivery ensuring efficient and effective project outcomes. Work closely with business partners including other Lead Engineers collaborating a team environment to effectively manage the workload and meet customer needs and maintain and building strong relationships across the organisation. Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement in engineering delivery processes. Champion a culture of service excellence within the team. About the Person As the single point of contact for engineering from different stakeholders, this will be an integral leading role within the engineering team ensuring the projects are delivered to compliance and safety in design standards, you will need the following to be successful: Professional Engineering qualification in relevant discipline (i.e. B,Eng) Experience in leadership with a proven ability to lead and support high performing teams Demonstrated experience in preparation of Reports and Technical writing. Demonstrated experience in design, design review and knowledge of infrastructure standards. Demonstrated experience in sustainable engineering practices and familiarity with industry standards and guidelines. Demonstrated experience in applying value engineering practices and principals.
