Banking & Finance Manager Sydney Permanent / Full Time Supportive environment with some flexibility around hours Leadership role; team of 12 High-profile role with senior stakeholder engagement An excellent opportunity has arisen with a leading bank for a CA / CPA qualified Expense Reporting Leader on a permanent basis. Provide strategic advice on managing a sizeable cost base and support and large workforce. Articulate key business drivers, provide critical insights to drive debate, and deliver value-add analysis across the portfolio of products and businesses. End-to-end ownership of expense and productivity management, including strategy and budget setting, performance reporting, forecasting, investment spend, financial control, and cost optimisation/productivity reporting. Formulate actionable analysis and insights to drive performance and strategy. Prepare high-quality presentations and supporting analysis/insight for senior management. Lead a team of 12, including 4 direct reports, with a focus on attracting, promoting, and rotating talent and creating an inspiring and nurturing work environment. Actively drive process improvement, simplification, and cross-skilling across the Performance Management team. Other qualities you may possess include Financial Services experience in a banking environment. High degree of commercial acumen. Experience in financial performance management and Expense / Cost management. Analytical and commercial skills, with demonstrated ability to draw insights from analysis. Prior leadership and team management skills. Innovative and able to drive results. Excellent verbal, written communication skills, and critical thinking skills. Fluent English & Full Australian working rights. Your qualifications Graduate qualifications in a numerate discipline – finance/business. A post-graduate qualification (e.g. CA/CPA, MBA).
