The role includes: Part-time (Thursday & Friday group, alternate Monday’s non-contact). Non-contact time Program delivery occurs across two groups: Position is for the Thur-Fri group (children attend 7.5hr per day) Provision of a quality education program supporting positive outcomes for each individual child The successful applicant will have qualities to lead a team of professionals and promote a collaborative work environment that ensures the provision of a quality education and care program. Skills & Experience Completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Education – Early Childhood or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification). Registration with Queensland College of Teachers preferred or pathway to registration can be discussed with preferred applicant. Prior teaching in the early years or prep setting and experience as a Responsible Person in an early childhood setting is preferred. Will consider applications for those who are actively working towards their ECT qualifications. These applicants must hold an approved diploma level educator qualification or have completed at least 50 per cent of the ECT course. Demonstrated leadership ability including staff performance appraisal and management. Ability to plan and implement a quality, educational and child centred program. Is passionate and innovated in pedagogy and practice. Capability of meeting the needs of individual children and the group. Understanding of the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines, Early Years Learning Framework, and National Quality Framework. Hold a current Blue Card/Exemption Card.
