About the company/role: Based in the north of Sydney, this well-known government contract testing laboratory is looking for an experienced Lab Services and Sample Prep Officer to support technical and new development projects to expand the business capabilities within the food, health, and environmental testing market. The role is a full-time 12-month contract position and requires Australian Citizenship. Responsibilities include: Sample receipt and registration into Sample Manager (LIMS) Perform a range of system based administrative service tasks (rollback & re-issue of reports, invoice cancellations, new client set ups and COD/Suspended clients). Co-ordinate and report samples to clients along with ensuring timely and accurate invoicing Assist in the day-to-day planning of workload and resources in samples receipt Troubleshoot problems at Sample receipt and communicate to relevant senior staff Liaise with internal and external clients/stakeholders on moderately complex operational and administrative matters Entering and authorising Outsource laboratory results, checking the results for guidelines required, units of reporting and any other requirements. Participate in projects and maintenance to improve and maintain LIMS data Train and mentor new and junior staff in relation to Laboratory Services functions Skills & experience: Tertiary qualifications in a Scientific field Australian citizenship is required for this role Extensive experience with sample preparation Good working knowledge of Sample Manager and Microsoft office Good communication and organisational skills High level of attention to detail Apply!
