Exciting opportunity for Data Engineers to join the Data and Insights team at Swinburne. Fixed term, (June 2026) full time role based in Hawthorn. Attractive Salary and hybrid working environment. About the Role We currently have two exciting opportunities for experienced Data Engineers. Join a transformative initiative within our Finance Modernisation Program! Under the guidance of the Data Lead, you will play a key role in designing and delivering robust data engineering solutions that support data collection, transformation, quality reporting, and migration activities. This is a collaborative, high-impact role requiring strong coordination and communication across project teams. About You To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: • Lead the analysis of source and target systems and define data mapping, transformation rules and validations criteria. • Lead the analysis of source systems data to understand data patterns and rules to assist in scoping, extraction and mapping. • Lead the end-to-end build of ETL from source to target. • Drive collaboration with business and technology stakeholders to collect requirements for data profiling, data quality, reconciliations and signoffs. • Lead the analysis, design and build of comprehensive data quality framework to assist in capturing and remediating data quality issues. Qualifications • Bachelor's degree in computer science, or a related field or subsequent experience; or postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training. • Relevant Certifications (e.g. Azure, Informatica, Talend) About Swinburne University of Technology Swinburne’s strategy draws upon our understanding of future challenges.
