Adelaide Oval has long been one of Australia’s, and the worlds, most iconic venues. Its prominent location as the centrepiece of the Adelaide CBD’s riverbank precinct, along with stunning panoramic views over the city, the Oval’s hallowed turf, St Peter’s Cathedral and beyond, makes Adelaide Oval one of the world's most recognisable venues. We host hundreds of events here at Adelaide Oval each year and these range from intimate birthday celebrations, to product launches to world class exhibitions with international clients. These events are led by a dedicated Functions and Events team who work behind the scenes to make every event a memorable moment. Due to an internal promotion, we have an opportunity to come and join our busy Function & Events team in this critical role. Function & Events Sales Executive This is a dynamic full-time role where you'll be responsible for driving business sales and managing events within the Functions and Events team. These are planned across 365 days of the year, not just major game days, and you'll be across multiple events at any given time. To be successful you'll be a whiz at managing client relationships; you'll quickly understand their brief and collaborate with our internal teams to make these visions a success and drive revenue against key sales strategies. You'll draw on your experience in a similar event management role and with a talent for creating world-class experiences, you’ll be charged with the planning, execution, problem solving and reporting requirements for your events. You love a fast paced environment and you have the resilience and tenacity to follow through. You understand budgets and have exceptional time management and organisational skills and can deliver on time, every time. What you'll be doing: Event managing a customer base that includes not for profits, corporates, mining, resources and defense industry clients. Managing multiple events from start to finish, ensuring the ultra-fine details are covered and customers expectations are exceeded. Curating all event details, creating floorplans and guiding clients through the event planning process. Provide exceptional service to ensure Adelaide Oval is best placed to deliver on its financial return and market reputation. Communicate with stakeholders internally and externally to maximize potential revenue and experiences. What you'll bring to the role: Understanding of multi-function food and beverage operations in a corporate hospitality environment. Experience in venue management. Tertiary qualifications in event sales or business management. Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and maintain a calm attitude under pressure. Strong technical skills – ability to navigate various systems and manipulate data. Outstanding communication skills to engage with a range of internal and external stakeholders.
