Cure Composites is now looking for an experienced and talented Building and Engineering Technician to join their team. The right candidate’s duties include but are not limited to: Assist in the preparation, review, and modification of technical drawings, schematics, plans, and diagrams to support design and production requirements. Carry out advanced calculations, field measurements, and technical testing procedures, ensuring accurate documentation of outcomes. Install, test, and commission mechanical and electronic systems and equipment used in custom marine manufacturing projects. Estimate material quantities and specifications needed for fabrication and assembly work. Conduct inspections of machinery, plumbing installations, and workplace conditions to ensure ongoing compliance with safety codes, regulations, and quality standards. Support the planning and coordination of maintenance schedules and procedures for production plant and workshop equipment. Perform material testing and evaluation to ensure suitability and performance standards are met. Accurately select, cut, and assemble structural materials such as marine-grade plywood, solid timber, laminates, and composite panels in line with technical specifications. Machine and shape components using both hand tools and powered equipment (e.g., routers, saws, planers), with strict adherence to safety and quality protocols. Install onboard functional components including drawers, shelving units, hinges, catches, and other fixtures to ensure secure and efficient operation. Work in close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams including shipwrights, plumbers, and electricians to ensure the effective integration of cabinetry and structural elements with other onboard systems. About you: At least 1 year of experience as a Building and Engineering Technician; Strong ability to read, interpret, and revise technical drawings, plans, and schematics; Proficient in conducting technical calculations, material testing, and diagnostic procedures; Experience with installation, testing, and maintenance of mechanical and electronic systems; Job type: Permanent/full-time Salary $76,500 - $85,000
