Crisis Accommodation and Support Services Essential Community Program - Support to people in need $43.08per hour 25% Loading – Casual Role The position Our programs provide support to people in need from a variety of sectors – justice, homelessness, mental health and education. Working as a Casual Duty Manager, you will work as part of a team on revolving shifts and will be responsible for managing the operational function of Samaritan House which includes accommodation, hospitality services, client support and administration. You will ensure the safety and security of our residents while providing quality assistance to them during their time with us. About you To be successful in this role, you will see this as more than just a job! You will bring your proven experience working with and the demonstrated understanding of crisis and the longer term needs of people who are currently homeless within a case management framework. You will also have the ability to work with people who may have mental illnesses and addictions and have awareness of the related network services which assist people in crisis. You will be able to work independently, apply judgement (when working without supervision) including the demonstrated ability to provide a hospitality service and undertake a range of administrative duties. You will have well developed communications skills along with a proactive, collaborative mindset and demonstrated resilience. Additionally you will have the capacity to deal with challenging environments, and be able to adapt to change. Qualifications at a Cert IV/Bachelor's degree in welfare/community development/social work or other qualifications is essential with proven experience in delivering case management services within the community. This role will require you to be available for shifts in evening, overnight and weekends. Please confirm your availability for shifts in your covering letter.
