We are looking for two (2) experienced individuals that enjoy working outdoors and are looking for an active and hands on role. As a key part of our civil works and maintenance operations, you’ll operate a heavy rigid (HR) water truck to assist with roadworks, dust suppression, and infrastructure projects across the region. Two (2) permanent positions available. Remuneration package of $2,255.74 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $2,706.89 gross per fortnight superannuation (11.5%). Access to Council’s Nine (9) Day Fortnight Arrangement. Contribute directly to maintaining local roads and infrastructure. Generous leave entitlements. Your new role: This position is responsible for effectively working as part of the Civil Operations team to undertake maintenance and construction works. Duties of this position will include but are not limited to: Operate and maintain Council plant and equipment with an emphasis on HR water truck operation. Undertake general labouring duties including traffic management; pipe laying; concreting and paving; hot mix and sealing works; construction and maintenance of stormwater; road, bridge, and culvert maintenance; roadside maintenance works; rehabilitation works; general maintenance activities; and site safety. Maintain a high standard of safety, utilising required personal protective equipment, in accordance with standards, industry practice and Council requirements. What you will need to succeed: A Class HR Driver’s Licence. A General Construction Induction Training Card. SafeWork NSW Traffic Control Work Card\s – Traffic Controller and Implement Traffic Control. You must be a team player, highly motivated and willing to learn new skills; and Strong communication skills as well as a commitment to effective customer service. In accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation applicants are required to be vaccinated and provide evidence for Hepatitis B and will be asked to provide evidence of this. What is next?
