About the role AMS has an exciting full-time opportunity for an Electrician to join our dynamic Electrical team. Our Electrical team provides a specialist consultancy capability addressing the compliance of airfield lighting systems through inspections and reporting, installation, and maintenance. The successful candidate will be able to diversify their skillset with training in new technologies such as solar powered lighting solutions. In this role you will support the technical execution of aerodrome lighting projects, contributing to both the on-site installation and overall project coordination. Based in the AMS head office in Perth, this role involves frequent travel to projects sites to support delivery and engage with clients as needed. Leaning on your extensive career experience in specialist and new industries (robotics, Solar and other emerging technical fields) you will be working with state-of-the-art technologies across our sites in Australia. Regular responsibilities include: • Undertake the installation and maintenance of aerodrome lighting systems, ensuring all work meets AMS standards and client specifications. • Conduct testing and commissioning of aerodrome lighting systems, including fault finding and rectification of any electrical issues • Assist with conducting Electrical Aerodrome Technical Inspections (EATI’s) and prepare corresponding reports when required • Support project planning by helping with scheduling of works, sourcing equipment and coordinating subcontractors • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and escalating any potential risks and concerns About you AMS will provide ongoing training and professional development to support this next step in your career, but you’ll already be off to a great start if you have previous experience in the following areas: • Ability to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors and internal teams to ensure project success • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to work independently and address issues as they arise • Ability to develop and implement technical standards, processes and documentation to ensure consistency and quality across projects • Electrical Trade Certificate endorsed for Western Australia (other states beneficial but not essential) • LV/CPR and Construction Industry White Card • Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) • Valid manual Australian Driver’s License • Previous experience with aerodrome lighting systems is desirable, though not essential • Strong Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel etc) • Demonstrated experience in accurate report writing and auditing • Transferrable technical electrical experience (Circuit boards, Solar, Robotics) • WA electrical Contractors License (Nominee) is desirable, though not essential What AMS offers • Excellent remuneration will be offered to the right applicant reflecting their skills and experience • Modern office located within the airport precinct with free onsite parking, café and gym • Work flexibility • A progressive and supportive team environment What’s next We’d love to hear from you!
