Overview: Part-time , Fixed Term position for 1 Year (0.4 FTE/2 Days per week) Salary HEW 6 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working About The Position This role supports the CoBL Research and Innovation Team by providing administrative and operational assistance to two CoBL Research Centres: the Business and Human Rights Research Centre and the Centre for Organisations and Social Change. The position is responsible for coordinating the Centres’ day-to-day administration, facilitating communication with internal and external stakeholders, supporting the leadership team, and assisting the Directors in managing centre membership and identifying new opportunities. Key responsibilities include managing the Centres’ websites and communication channels, conducting outreach, and supporting the planning and delivery of events. The role also contributes to the coordination of key projects and ensures major initiatives—such as flagship events—are delivered on time and aligned with agreed objectives. Additionally, the position may be involved in broader research activities across the College. To be successful in this position, you’ll have: Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships. Demonstrated ability to manage engagement and communications activities and coordinate Centre events and initiatives to encourage an open and friendly research environment. Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as part of a team, including liaising with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to effectively manage ones time, maintaining high levels of self-motivation. Demonstrated highly developed communication skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of management, staff, students and external parties on complex or sensitive issues. Demonstrated ability to use digital communications tools and platforms. Experience applying for and/or managing grants.
