About the role Central Role in Cancer Genetics : Coordinate essential administrative and clerical services within the Cancer Genetics Department, ensuring smooth operations and support for clinical staff. Data Management Excellence : Maintain and update critical systems and databases, supporting the efficient delivery of Cancer Genetic Services. Clinical Information System Proficiency : Demonstrate competence in the daily operation of clinical information systems used within the department, facilitating accurate and timely data entry. Professional Communication : Answer telephone calls and respond to enquiries in a professional and compassionate manner, maintaining patient confidentiality and providing excellent customer service. Comprehensive Administrative Support : Organise meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, manage staff scheduling and patient appointments, and handle administrative tasks such as report preparation, stationery ordering, and procurement processes. About you Exceptional Customer Service Skills: Proven ability to engage professionally and compassionately with patients, families, and colleagues, ensuring clear and empathetic interactions. Strong Organisational Abilities: Demonstrated experience in managing multiple tasks efficiently, including scheduling, data entry, and report preparation, while maintaining attention to detail . Proficiency in Administrative Systems: Competence in using clinical information systems and standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite) to support departmental operations. Effective Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with staff and clients, ensuring information is conveyed accurately and in a timely manner.
