The opportunity Reporting to the Marine Maintenance Coordinator, you will be instrumental in managing our purchasing process and maintaining key supplier relationships. Your role will ensure the smooth running of our Marine Transhipment Operation through accurate and efficient procurement, inventory management, and cost control. Based on a Monday to Friday roster at our head office in Osborne Park, as part of our dynamic MinRes Marine team, you will play a pivotal role in the teams’ success. Your primary responsibilities Generate purchase orders accurately and promptly Assist the vessel crews in ordering parts and consumables and obtaining supplier quotes Assign correct cost and project codes to all purchase orders Maintain a register of technical supply items, ensuring timely delivery of long lead items Assist with cost control and ensure efficient delivery processes Coordinate accurate warehousing of parts and inventory Liaise with freight providers and suppliers to coordinate international and domestic shipment of orders You will set the standard for professional behaviour, embracing diversity, showing initiative, and championing our values in everything you do. What is Required? Our ideal candidate will have previous demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally within a Mining or Marine environment. Previous experience in a purchasing role Strong organisational skills; able to juggle multiple priorities Experienced with arranging inbound and outbound freight and inventory management Proficient in the Microsoft suite Business or procurement qualifications (desirable), or equivalent experience Knowledge of procurement and/or preventative maintenance systems Adaptable, attention to detail, and strong communication skills Australian work rights.
