Senior Project Engineer Location: Perth, WA Indicative assignment length: 12-month Contract The role We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Engineer to join a major brownfield infrastructure program within the mining and minerals processing sector. This role involves managing the full lifecycle of infrastructure projects, with a focus on water management systems, including irrigation and infiltration works. Key Responsibilities Lead the end-to-end delivery of assigned projects, including planning, coordination, execution, and close-out. Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment across scope, budget, and schedule. Provide strong interface management and stakeholder engagement within an operational site environment. Apply sound engineering judgement to interpret designs and ensure compliance with specifications, standards, and procedures. Oversee and coordinate project activities across disciplines, ensuring quality and performance objectives are met. Support safety initiatives and integrate HSE principles into all phases of project delivery. What you'll need to succeed Degree-qualified in Engineering (mechanical/piping) PMP or equivalent project management certification (IPMA, APM, PMI, AIPM) preferred. Extensive amount of engineering experience, including significant exposure to project management in the resources sector. Strong background in mechanical or piping disciplines. Demonstrated experience delivering EPC/EPCM projects, ideally in mining or heavy industrial environments. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, site-based setting with some flexibility built in.
