About the opportunity Reporting to the Retail Data & Insights Manager, as Retail Data and Insights Senior Analyst , you’ll be instrumental in helping to drive a high-performing Retail Analytics function—delivering data-driven insights that shape strategic direction and elevate the performance of the Post Office network. What you’ll deliver with us In this role, you’ll help generate robust, data-led insights across customer, geographic, and market trends to inform retail strategies and uncover new growth opportunities. You’ll support the development of key reporting assets and visualisations, leveraging enterprise-wide data to deliver automated and robust analytical insights. Working closely with teams across Retail, Finance, and Marketing, you’ll contribute to the governance of our data warehouse and help evaluate new technologies to enhance team productivity and insight delivery. You’ll also Work closely with Retail Data and Insights Manager and key stakeholders to prioritise business and information needs. Leading analysts in building key data assets across a range of sources, and modelling data and processes to identify recommendations Analyses large, multi-dimensional datasets using a range of analytical techniques identifying actionable insights and recommendations Utilises data analysis platforms and tools, including advanced database querying (SQL) - GCP preferred Provide reporting for weekly and monthly performance reporting, LPO bi-annual report, Annual and Board Reports data points, and other reports as required About you We’re looking for highly experienced analytics professional with over 5 years in data analysis and reporting, ideally within a large retail environment. You will be a strategic thinker with a proven ability to solve complex problems, manage large and varied data sets, and deliver high-quality insights under pressure and tight deadlines. You’ll also need Reporting ability across Tableau, Power BI & other similar software Experience building data solutions using cloud technologies (GCP preferred). Experience with Python data science libraries, such as pandas, scikit-learn, Matplotlib, NumPy, etc Experience with advanced database querying (SQL), analysing and automation approaches.
