You’ll contribute to the day-to-day operations of the College by ensuring payroll and HR processes run smoothly, accurately, and compliantly. About the Role Reporting to the Director of Finance, with a dotted line to the Director of HR, you will support the payroll and HR functions through accurate data entry, staff record management, and compliance with employment conditions. You will work closely with both teaching and non-teaching staff across the College community. Key responsibilities include: Maintaining accurate employee records in HRIS and payroll systems; Preparing and verifying payroll data for regular pay cycles; Processing staff changes: onboarding, contract renewals, terminations, and salary updates; Managing leave records and entitlements in line with policy and EBAs; Ensuring compliance with relevant awards, EBAs, and Fair Work requirements; Supporting audit and internal reporting processes; and Responding to payroll and HR-related queries and providing general administrative support. About You You are organised, detail-focused, and take pride in delivering accurate, high-quality administrative support. You bring: 2–3 years’ experience in payroll, HR, or finance administration (education sector experience advantageous); Confidence working with payroll or HRIS systems (Ascender or JD Edwards highly regarded); Strong data entry and administrative skills, with a high degree of accuracy; Understanding of payroll compliance, privacy, and employment legislation; Strong communication and interpersonal skills; Current Blue Card (or eligibility) and willingness to undergo a National Police Check; and Relevant qualifications or progress towards HR/Business Administration certification (desirable) What’s on Offer This is an ideal opportunity for an HR/payroll administrator seeking to expand their skills in a reputable and values-based school environment.
