An exciting opportunity has become available for a motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join a highly respected mid-sized law firm specialising in workers' compensation and personal injury matters. This is a rewarding role where you'll work in a fast-paced and collaborative team environment, assisting with the end-to-end management of workers' compensation claims whilst supporting a team of experienced solicitors. The ideal candidate will be organised, proactive, and passionate about delivering high-quality support to both clients and solicitors. Key Responsibilities: Assist solicitors with the day-to-day management of workers' compensation files from initial instruction through to final resolution. Draft and prepare a wide range of legal documents, including ILARS applications, medico-legal instructions, statements of evidence, letters of demand, and court documents. Liaise with clients, union representatives, medical professionals, and insurers in a professional, respectful, and empathetic manner. Conduct legal research. Coordinate medical assessments, independent medical examinations (IMEs), and other key appointments. Maintain accurate and timely file notes and documentation. Prepare client correspondence and manage incoming and outgoing communications. Conduct regular file reviews and follow up on outstanding documents, reports, and instructions. Assist with ensuring compliance with procedural and statutory requirements under NSW workers' compensation legislation. Support the firm's values of social justice and client-first service, particularly in advocating for union members. You: Previous experience in a legal support role, within personal injury or workers' compensation. Strong drafting and document preparation skills with a high level of attention to detail. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage sensitive client matters professionally. Sound understanding of legal procedures and documentation relevant to NSW workers' compensation claims. Ability to manage competing deadlines and prioritise tasks in a busy legal practice.
