This role is ideal for someone with a solid experience in the construction and renovation industry, and who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. As a Project Coordinator, you will play a key role in supporting the planning and delivery of multiple residential construction projects across Melbourne’ s southeastern suburbs. Key Responsibilities • Prepare, review, and manage variations to carpentry, fixing, and renovation job scopes to align with client specifications and site conditions. • Coordinate with clients, site supervisors, and subcontractors to address inquiries, resolve on-site issues, and ensure clear communication throughout the job cycle. • Responding to inquiries and resolving problems concerning programs, projects, services provided, and persons affected. • Working with project stakeholders, owners and others to ensure that goals are met. • Monitor subcontractor work to ensure adherence to project requirements and report any discrepancies or additional scope needs. • Advising senior management on matters requiring attention and implementing their decisions. • Collecting and analyzing data associated with projects undertaken, and reporting on project outcomes. • Identify operational issues (e.g., technical conflicts, contract discrepancies, schedule deviations), report them to the project manager promptly, and track the implementation progress of resolutions. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree or above • Minimum 5 years of experience in the construction industry, especially in interior fit-outs and small-scale residential developments. • Strong project management skills with practical experience in: • Material procurement and ordering • Delivery coordination • Workforce scheduling and task delegation • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented, with a hands-on approach to daily site operations; comfortable with regular travel and active on-site involvement. • Proven ability to enhance on-site efficiency and reduce operational costs through effective planning and resource management. • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
