A job to be proud of: As a Server Engineer at St John WA, you are responsible for assisting with bridging the gap between our business aspirations and technology implementations. This position demands a technical acumen, and hands on involvement in delivering high level technical systems. You will be instrumental in supporting the alignment of functional outcomes with technology. This is a permanent, full-time position based at our Head Office in Belmont . What you’ll do: Collaborate with the architectural group to understand functional needs and illustrate how different technological options can impact strategic decisions. Assist with design of technical systems that incorporate software defined solutions. Proactively support Data Centre Compute Infrastructure and ensure security compliance. Work alongside/ within project teams to ensure alignment with architectural standards and guidelines, identifying when adjustments to the operation environment are needed. Support architecture governance frameworks, standards, and procedures to ensure that all technology initiatives are in alignment with our strategic objectives. Collaborate closely with Solution Architects, Network Architects, Technical Architects, System Owners, and Subject Matter Experts to comprehensively understand and document system architecture. Support stakeholder architect engagements across the organisation to develop solutions and business cases that address both immediate business requirements and long term strategies. Represent the Digital Services department with a cohesive and skilled technical stance in all dealings with stakeholders, vendors, and partners, effectively balancing expectations and fostering alignment with the company’s vision and ethical standards. What you’ll need: Good problem solving and organisational skills. Previous experience in supporting IT projects, navigating, and communicating complex technical challenges, potential solutions, and the implications of technical debt to a diverse audience. Has a broad technical experience across many technology platforms. Depp experience is required in VMWare, Cloud and Private Cloud computing. Experience in deploying software defined solutions. Experience in developing and implementing automation. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related major or equivalent IS/business experience is preferable.
