The Role We are seeking an experienced and reliable Forklift Driver to join our Despatch team. Reporting to the Despatch Supervisor or Despatch Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and safe movement of our fresh produce. Key Responsibilities General Operate forklifts and machinery in a safe, efficient and competent manner Complete forklift pre-start checklist, logbook and key register before operation Load and unload trucks, containers and other transport vehicles with forklift Maintain strict product temperature control and accurately maintain documentation Support your Manager to build a cohesive team that reflects Mulgowie Farming Company's values Report any maintenance requirements in your area to the appropriate person Comply with all policies and procedures regarding despatch operations to ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility Laws Ensure compliance process and procedures are followed for the despatch of organic product or product for export Ensure work area and equipment is safe and safe work practices are followed at all times Receive and store stock according to requirements, ensuring all receivals are accounted for and in good order People Work as part of the Packhouse Despatch Team Carry out Quality and Safety checks as required in line with policies, procedures and processes Provide encouragement and a positive influence for all peers Comply with all legislative, environmental, and safety acts as applicable to the state we work in Understand the operations being carried out and the hazards and risks associated with operations Qualifications and Experience Required: Qualifications Current Australian Forklift Licence (essential) Experience Experience in cooling and temperature management Sound computer knowledge (SAP knowledge or similar) Skills and Abilities Ability to maintain flexible work hours, seven (7) days per work whilst complying with fatigue requirements Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) Ability to communicate appropriately across cultures Precise record keeping with accurate numeracy Ability to set a good work ethic for team members Conduct and present yourself in an orderly and responsible manner Our Values We value the safety of our people and products The consumer is considered in all of our decision making We respect all people and are united through team spirit We value clear communication, and welcome all ideas for improvement You must have your own transport and Australian working rights to apply.
