The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding across the learning area and will have a proven track record of inspiring students to achieve academic success in English. Experience in IB, VCE and/or English Language is desirable but not required. The role requires a deep commitment to student-centred learning, curriculum innovation, and assessment best practices. This is a full-time, fixed-term position across Term 3 and Term 4 in 2025. The role will commence in Term 3, 2025. (This opportunity can be offered on a part-time basis for the suitable candidiate). The Average Day: Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons Prepare students for assessments and exams, providing guidance on exam techniques, essay writing, and critical analysis. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and a love for literature. Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching strategies and student outcomes. Participate in school events, meetings, and co-curricular activities as required. The Person: To be successful in this position, you will have: Relevant Teaching Qualification Proven success teaching English, specifically within the VCE, IB and/or EAL curriculum Strong knowledge of English literature, language, and critical theory Excellent communication and organizational skills A valid Victorian Institute Teaching (VIT) registration is a requirement of employment in this position.
