A major bank in Sydney is seeking a Senior Network Security Design Engineer on a permanent basis. This role leads high-level Network Security Technical Design for projects, translating customer needs into infrastructure requirements. It involves design input, technical support, data analysis, and documentation review. Acting as a key technical contact, the role ensures customer outcomes are met and collaborates with stakeholders to maintain compliance with networking standards. Responsibilities: Customer requirements gathering and documentation. Lead direct interactions with stakeholders to confirm and recommend networking solutions Provide technical consultation to business/technology stakeholders recommend networking solutions to ensure user requirements are understood and appropriately translated into infrastructure requirements. Key Skills / Experience: Strong Design skills in a large enterprise environment Indepth experience on firewalls (Juniper high end SRX, Checkpoint and Fortigate) Strong Load Balancing (F5 – LTM, GTM) Switching and Routing (BGP/OSPF, VXLAN, VTP, etc), Financial Services / Large enterprise experience Vendor certification: CCNA, JNCIA or F5 201 Solid understanding of Cloud networking Azure/AWS.
