The Role As a Senior Design System Designer, you’ll take ownership of significant aspects of the design system. You’ll lead the development of new components and patterns, maintain the health of the system, and mentor junior designers. You’ll work closely with stakeholders, driving design consistency across products and ensuring scalability for future growth. Key Responsibilities Lead the development and maintenance of the design system, ensuring scalability and consistency. Create advanced UI components and reusable patterns. Manage design tokens and system-wide configurations across multiple products. Develop a strategy for component versioning and maintaining legacy support. Evolve and manage a multibrand design system that serves the needs of 4 Banks/Fintechs Ensure brand integrity is maintained while enabling shared efficiencies and consistent user experiences across all brands. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance brand-specific requirements with system-wide cohesion. Mentor junior designers and provide guidance on best practices. Lead design system workshops and training sessions to promote adoption. Work with stakeholders to align the design system with business goals. Establish and enforce design system standards, including accessibility and usability guidelines. Manage design system versioning and change requests. Conduct regular audits and track design debt. Implement and optimise tools for design-to-code workflows, such as Storybook or Zeroheight. Explore and adopt new tools to improve efficiency and collaboration. Continuously refine documentation and workflows. Requirements 5 years of experience in UX/UI design, with a focus on design systems. Expertise in Figma, design token management, and component libraries. Strong understanding of accessibility and usability standards. Proven experience collaborating with development teams to ensure design–dev parity. Nice to Have Experience with advanced front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Vue). Familiarity with tools for automated design system management. Experience leading a team or mentoring junior designers.
