Quality Engineer — South Yarra, Stonnington Area

The Quality Engineer plans and conducts activities concerned with the Quality Control (QC) and Quality Assurance (QA) for conformance to specifications of industrial processes, materials, and products made in-house or of incoming finished and semi-finished purchased products. Your responsibilities: Deals with supplier performance or the performance of the in-house production team Follows standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation Ensures that all parts are inspected properly in accordance with current inspection procedures, work instructions, and protocols Escalates quality issues for decisions on non-conforming or questionable parts coming through, or in production Maintains a working knowledge of specific quality specifications, to ensure parts are inspected and meet the (internal or external) customer requirements Supports the handling of (internal or external) customer complaints, associated remedial action, and improvement activities Ensures the receipt and disposition of all returned product, and any associated follow up action, including implementation of continuous improvement activities May maintain Critical Gauge Database and Calibration System Promotes a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company’s operational activities What you bring: A bachelor’s degree in quality or a related field. Solid experience in a Quality Engineering role. Experience with ISO9001. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively. Ability to lead quality improvement initiatives and work collaboratively with diverse teams.
