The role Firesafe are looking for a Mechanical Engineers to plan, design and oversee the mechanical and process plant and installation t on a full time basis. Duties / Responsibilities Designs mechanical equipment, machines, components, products for manufacture, and plant and systems for construction Develops specifications for manufacture, and determines materials, equipment, piping, material flows, capacities and layout of plant and systems Organises and manages project labour and the delivery of materials and equipment Establishes standards and policies for installation, modification, quality control, testing, inspection and maintenance according to engineering principles and safety regulations Inspects plant to ensure optimum performance is maintained Directs the maintenance of plant buildings and equipment, and co-ordinating the requirements for new designs, surveys and maintenance schedules Skills and Experience Produce hydraulic calculations, pipe sizing, pipe supports, drawings and fabrication sheets in line with the appropriate standards, scope of work and constructability to a very high standard, and review the work of junior design-team members to promote ongoing improvement Attend site meetings/client meetings when required Provide technical assistance and problem-solving ideas to designers and PM’s and other operational staff as required Be available to discuss with Procurement Manager, PM’s, Leading hands and other stakeholders as required Ensure your own safety and health at work and that of your work mates Comply with all lawful and reasonable instructions given by your employer Adhere to all Health, Safety, Environment & quality legislation, policies and procedures at all times Benefits Permanent Full Time Role Career Development & Ongoing Training On-site parking Regular social events Employee Awards Weekly pay cycle Various employee discounts Dogs in the office on a Friday Company EAP Program Ongoing company focus on driving positive company culture Collaborative team environment Don't miss your chance to play a pivotal role in an organization that is experiencing significant long-term growth and with your contribution, will continue this expansion.
