About the Role: Our Melbourne Depot is looking for MC Shuttle drivers to join our team. Linehaul drivers are responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of customer goods from one location to another. This role demands a high level of skill, expertise and experience in operating a commercial heavy vehicle with a gross vehicle mass of over 4.5 tonne. Duties you can expect with this role include: Working with temperature sensitive produce Ensuring the safe and timely handling of company freight Completing relevant pre-start checklists, safety documentation and delivery paperwork Interacting with clients in a professional manner Working closely with depot teams for the loading, unloading and transportation of freight Completing essential safety documentation such as pre-start checklists About the requirements: The candidates we are looking for will have: Have a current & valid MC licence Experience driving B-doubles Knowledge of paperwork associated with freight delivery and familiarity using internal cab data systems. Basic Fatigue Management accreditation (well respected but not essential) Have a commitment to workplace health and safety. Have a strong customer focus with good communication skills. Be well presented, professional and reliable. To be successful for this role applicants must: Pass a Commercial Drivers Health Assessment including drug and alcohol test Provide a current traffic print out Be willing to work across weekends and be flexible with start & finish times Previous refrigerated transport experience is highly respected in this role.
