Fitzroy location Friendly and dynamic team Permanent / Full Time position About the Role You will be responsible for a broad range of administrative functions that contribute to the successful achievement of HIP key performance indicators and service delivery including referral processing, answering telephone queries, appointment scheduling, maintenance of client database systems and medical records, as well as providing support to Team Leader and HIP Stream Manager with the completion of allocated administrative tasks. Duties Work under the direction and in support of the HIP Central Team Leader and HIP Stream Manager. Maintain the patient registration systems and databases in a timely manner, ensuring all details are accurate. Assist with the day-to-day HIP operational processes, including answering the telephone, assisting clinical staff, processing referrals and making appointments. Communicate, collaborate and consult with others appropriate to administrative roles and responsibilities, ensuring effective communication with clients and their families/carers, referrers and community agencies. Classifications for this position will range from classification range HS1 - HS17 ($58,442- $64,610 per annum). Your Contribution Demonstrated experience working across a broad range of administrative functions and duties, within a healthcare setting. Advanced customer service and interpersonal skills. Effective communication skills (including verbal, written and skills in adapting communication styles to suit clients, families and/or carers, external service providers, team members and managers). Advanced skills in Microsoft Office systems, including proficient typing skills.
