Moira Shire Council is seeking a dynamic and experienced civil engineering professional to lead our Infrastructure Planning and Design function. About the role: As the Manager Infrastructure Planning and Design, you will play a pivotal role in driving strategic infrastructure planning across the Shire. You'll lead a high-performing team responsible for concept development, feasibility studies, design engineering, stakeholder engagement, and project preparation, ensuring a strong pipeline of shovel-ready capital works aligned with Council's long-term objectives. Key responsibilities: Lead and develop a multidisciplinary team of engineers and planners. Oversee strategic planning and detailed design for future infrastructure needs. Drive community engagement and consultation on infrastructure projects. Develop and maintain policies, budgets, service plans and capital works pipelines. Liaise with internal departments, developers, contractors, and government agencies. Ensure compliance with relevant engineering, planning, and safety regulations. What we're looking for: Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering. Registration (or eligibility within 6 months) as a Civil Engineer under the Engineers Registration Act 2019 (Vic). Demonstrated leadership experience in civil infrastructure project planning, design and delivery. Proven ability to manage complex projects, budgets, and stakeholders.
