About the Role: We are seeking a National Operations Manager to bring together our Retail functions, ensuring they operate optimal standards. You will be pivotal in driving increased revenue and margin through our activities in remote village accommodation sites. Seeking someone who excels at bringing high-level concepts to life and is eager to lead and be hands on where necessary in day-to-day operations such as marketing, stocktaking, and range management. Key Responsibilities: Unify Retail Functions: Integrate functions to operate seamlessly and efficiently. Revenue and Margin Growth: Drive increased revenue and margin through effective site management and operational strategies. Site Engagement: Engage with sites regularly to bring vision to life and ensure consistent standards across all locations. Retail Expertise: Leverage your retail experience to think differently and innovate, catering to the unique needs of our business. Team and Scope: Collaborative Team: Work with the existing retail team (4) and build as growth ensues Influence: Parter with Site level leadership to show value in driving retail activities. Growth: responsible for revenue generation through micro markets, vending machines, new offerings & merchandising. National Scope: Oversee operations across a broad geographical area, ensuring consistent performance and growth. Site Presence: Maintain a strong presence at sites, operating on a 5:2 (Monday to Friday) schedule with significant site engagement. About You: Retail Background: Experience in operational roles within complex retail landscapes (supermarkets, liquor, QSR or similar) Agile: Ability to thrive in an emerging company environment, building functions from the ground up. Resilient and Innovative: Resilient in the face of challenges and innovative in finding solutions. Metrics-Driven: Understand and implement key metrics such as venue and gross margin, rebates, store growth, vending machine performance, labor right-sizing, rebate improvement, and inventory turnover days.
