Our client is looking for a Business Sales Consultant to achieve acquisition sales targets through prospecting and converting leads into new customers (B2B) and delivering on the business objectives. The role currently has a WA state based focus, is telephone-based outbound sales, and is required to prospect business customers for supply of their energy (electricity and natural gas) needs. Responsibilities: Achieve growth sales targets through sales planning, identification, prospecting and execution of new natural gas and electricity contracts, for small business customers. This will involve, but is not limited to, cold calling. Pipeline Management - build a pipeline through registering leads and report on the status of all prospects in the customer pipeline, including future opportunities. Accurately prepare and present contract documents and client proposals. Ensure all calls/electronic messages are managed effectively and recorded in centralised customer data repository (eg Sales Online, Insightly, Oracle or CRM once implemented). Contribute to the identification, development and implementation of improvements to processes and procedures to improve the customer experience, sales effectiveness and employee engagement. Provide a positive customer experience to potential customers by responding to and taking ownership of customer enquiries (phone queue, email and web enquiries) in a timely and professional manner. Requirements: Completion of minimum of Year 12 or equivalent experience A degree qualification in business or related field is not necessary, but highly desirable The ideal candidate will bring a balance of experience (2-5 years) in Telephone based sales, service or customer operations environment, with a strong sales performance and customer service focus and the ability to achieve and exceed sales targets in an intensely competitive environment. Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills (verbal & written) Deep passion for high performance and continuous improvement with a customer centric focus Self motivated team player, with good planning and time management.
