Platform Engineer The Role: Join Auto & General as a Platform Engineer and help shape the future of our cloud infrastructure. Working in an Agile environment, you’ll design and enhance tools and processes to automate cloud platform delivery using Infrastructure as Code. This is a newly created role offering a diverse and impactful opportunity. Your New Team: Be part of a close-knit team of 6 within our wider Cloud Platform group of 24. This multicultural, collaborative team thrives on innovation, supporting development teams across the business to deliver secure, scalable, and automated infrastructure solutions. Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement automation and Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible and CloudFormation • Collaborate with application teams to enable fast and secure delivery of cloud infrastructure • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and self-service platform tools • Contribute to the migration and development of cloud-native solutions • Support cloud operations and troubleshoot issues alongside your team • Participate in Agile ceremonies and help coach and mentor junior engineers • Stay current with industry practices and continuously improve team standards Qualifications & Experience: • Experience with AWS cloud services in an enterprise environment • Strong background in automation and CI/CD (e.g. Gitlab, Bitbucket, Bamboo) • Proficiency in scaling containers (Kubernetes, Docker) and serverless architecture • Familiarity with monitoring tools like New Relic • Effective communicator with a collaborative mindset • Desirable: Google Cloud experience and software engineering background Our Perks: Location – Toowong Close to a variety of public transport and easy parking options, the Toowong office has excellent end of trip facilities (including secure bike storage and showers), outdoor spaces and plenty of modern collaborative areas to work and connect with colleagues.
