Recovery Workers are essential to the success of our Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) services. Based at either Deer Park and Sunshine locations, you’ll support people on their recovery journey by providing day-to-day psychosocial support, facilitating group programs, and working alongside clinical teams to promote wellbeing and connection. You’ll build respectful, collaborative relationships with participants and create a safe, inclusive environment that supports individual strengths, values lived experience, and encourages choice and self-direction. Recovery Workers also contribute to the continuous improvement of our services by offering insights, ideas, and practical support in the day-to-day running of the program. We are looking for team members with flexibility in availability as PARC services operate 24/7 with a rotating roster, including day, afternoon, and sleepover shifts. Sleepover shifts are active from 5:30pm to 11pm, then inactive sleepover (with the ability to wake up and convert to active if required) and active again from 7am –9am to support early morning routines and handover. Penalty rates apply for relevant hours worked. About the Program The Prevention and Recovery Care (PARC) program is a partnership between Wellways and Melbourne Health’s North Western Mental Health (NWMH) service. It provides short-term, sub-acute residential support for people who are either at risk of becoming unwell or who are transitioning out of hospital and need a safe space to continue their recovery. PARC services offer a welcoming, home-like environment where people receive both clinical and psychosocial support tailored to their goals. Completion of studies in Mental Health, AOD, Community Services or related field (min Cert 4 or above) or qualifications in a social science (social work, occupational therapy, nursing or psychology) Experience in the field of mental health, community services or disability (highly desirable) Current valid Driver's Licence and the ability to undertake some travel Evidence of the right to work in Australia Evidence of, or a willingness to obtain a National Police Records Check, Working with Children Check - Employee, NDIS Worker Screening Check and NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate Why Us?
