Full time Fixed Term position until July 2026 located at Susan Wakil Health Building Dynamic opportunity for an Education Design and Delivery Officer to play a crucial role in shaping the education programs Base Salary $108,557 - $118,267 17% superannuation About the opportunity This Education Design and Delivery position plays a crucial role in shaping and executing professional postgraduate education programs within the faculty. This position is pivotal in the development and delivery of designated courses, offering expert advice to unit of study coordinators and other teachers on educational design for online delivery. The incumbent ensures learning materials are developed to meet high-quality standards before release and supports both teachers and students throughout the teaching semester. By monitoring student progress and liaising with teachers, the incumbent ensures students receive the necessary support to succeed in their studies. This role blends technical expertise, educational design, and student support, making it essential for the smooth operation of the faculty's postgraduate programs. The Education Design and Delivery Officer operates with a degree of autonomy, making decisions related to their key responsibilities while utilizing their technical, educational, and administrative expertise. The incumbent is expected to show initiative and judgment in daily tasks, referring unresolved or complex issues to supervisors or senior colleagues. Collaboration with various staff members across the work area and Faculty is essential to achieve work area objectives. Travel between locations may be required to support different work areas, highlighting the dynamic and flexible nature of this role. There is a requirement for this position to be on site. Limited hybrid working arrangements can be discussed with your manager if you are successful in this position. Please note that these roles are not open to current University of Sydney students. Your key responsibilities will be to develop and deliver online learning sites and multimedia resources, ensuring high-quality, student-centric experiences provide expert advice to Program Directors, Unit of Study Coordinators, and teaching staff on educational design and LMS procedures produce and edit learning materials, lectures, podcasts, and video content, ensuring timely release and quality standards conduct analysis and implement best practices for educational technology use, enhancing unit and program designs coordinate the production and delivery of online examinations, prepare student results data, and support study improvement processes support students by monitoring progress, providing advice, and ensuring a positive learning experience collaborate with faculty colleagues, attend community of practice meetings, and undertake ad-hoc projects as needed. About you tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience proven experience in learning design and curriculum development across various delivery modes, including online educational platforms and learning management systems excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write, edit, and proof publications for diverse audiences high-level computer skills, including proficiency with Canvas and/or other Learning Management Systems, Microsoft Office suite or Microsoft 365, video editing software, databases, and networking applications strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, exercising sound judgement in resolving daily work matters.
