This is a rare opportunity for a junior lawyer to join a high-performing, collaborative legal team led by an exceptional General Counsel. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a broad range of legal areas and work directly with internal stakeholders on projects that have real commercial and environmental impact. Key Responsibilities Commercial & Corporate Law – Drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, supporting M&A activity, property matters, financing arrangements, and disputes; Governance & Compliance – Advising on corporate governance practices, supporting compliance with modern slavery, whistleblower, and risk management frameworks, and helping refine internal legal processes; and Process Improvement – Identifying and driving initiatives to improve legal and governance systems within the business. What You’ll Bring A minimum of 1 years’ PQE from a law firm or similar in-house environment. A current Australian Practising Certificate is required; Some commercial drafting and analytical skills from a corporate M&A, commercial, property, banking and finance or disputes practice group; The ability to work well with others across different business units, while also being confident working independently; and Excellent written and verbal communication and organisational abilities.
