Design and develop new polymer-based products from concept through to production. Use SolidWorks to create 3D models, detailed part and assembly drawings, and tooling references. Collaborate with manufacturing, tooling, and quality teams to ensure designs are suitable for injection moulding and rotational moulding. Conduct and support product testing, validation, and FEA analysis. Participate in prototype development and physical testing (in-house and field trials) Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards and engineering best practices. Assist in the continuous improvement of existing products, materials, and manufacturing processes. About You To succeed in this role, you’ll bring: 2-5 years’ experience in product design or mechanical engineering, ideally in polymer or automotive industries Proficiency in SolidWorks for 3D modelling and technical drawing creation A strong understanding of polymer materials and manufacturing processes (particularly injection and rotational moulding) Experience applying design for manufacture (DFM) principles Hands-on prototyping experience and practical problem-solving skills Ability to interpret test data and contribute to product validation activities A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design Engineering, or a related field Strong written and verbal communication skills ARB SmartBar is a division of ARB 4x4 Accessories and specializes in the design and manufacture of innovative, lightweight, and impact resistant polymer Bumper system for 4WD and commercial vehicles.
