About the Role As a Project Engineer in the Tenders Team , you’ll play a key role in winning future transport infrastructure projects across South Australia. Focused on the pre-contract phase, you’ll provide technical input, shape construction methodologies, and support bid strategies in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Between tenders, you’ll drive process improvements, lessons learned, and vendor engagement to strengthen our tendering capability. Based in our Adelaide office, you’ll enjoy a dynamic, high-performing team environment—with great coffee and views of the Adelaide Hills. Key Responsibilities Support tender submissions by providing technical and engineering input on transport-related scopes, contributing to winning strategies, methodologies, and construction staging for major infrastructure bids in South Australia. Lead lessons learned and capability development between tenders, ensuring continuous improvement across tendering approaches, engineering methodologies, and team knowledge. Drive process improvement and internal efficiencies , including the development and refinement of best practices, tools, and systems to support high-performing tender teams. Coordinate pre-tender planning and strategy development , including engagement with subject matter experts, interface coordination, risk identification, and input into program and methodology development. Support procurement and vendor engagement during tender phases, including technical assessment of suppliers/subcontractors, scope reviews, and contribution to cost and risk assessments. About you You’re a proactive and detail-oriented engineer with a passion for shaping major transport infrastructure projects from the ground up. To be successful in this role, you will have: A recognised degree in Engineering (Civil or related discipline) and eligibility for professional membership (e.g. Engineers Australia). South Australian residency and a valid Australian driver's licence. Proven experience in transport or civil infrastructure, ideally within tendering, planning, or pre-contract environments. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into compelling bid content.
