About the Role As an Engineer with a focus on automation, you will lead the design, implementation and optimisation of automated systems, integrating PLC and SCADA technologies with customer-specific software solutions. You will drive innovation in system integration, troubleshoot complex challenges and contribute to R&D projects that enhance their automated product offerings. This role includes occasional on-site work at mining and transport sites, mentoring a talented team and championing automation to maximise efficiency and minimise manual processes. Key Responsibilities: Design, install, and configure automated software and control systems including PLC and SCADA integration Troubleshoot and resolve automation-related issues, ensuring robust system performance Lead R&D initiatives for automated systems, contributing to product design, testing and validation Develop high-quality technical documentation and training materials for automation solutions Provide technical support to internal and external stakeholders, enhancing sales and training efforts Drive standardisation and continuous improvement in automated systems to reduce labour and boost efficiency About You We are seeking a skilled Engineer with a passion for automation and expertise in PLC and SCADA systems. To excel in this role, you will have: A degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Automation Engineering or a related field Proven experience in system integration and automation, with hands-on expertise in PLC and SCADA systems Advanced analytical, problem-solving and technical writing skills for automation documentation Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and manage technical projects A growth mindset, excellent communication skills and a commitment to safety and quality Willingness to travel and perform on-site work when required Ready to Take the Next Step?
