Contract Administrator — Bayswater, Bayswater Area

Mills Recruitment is seeking an experienced Contract Administrator for a minimum 3-month assignment (with potential for extension) with one of our top-tier clients – a leading organisation renowned for delivering large-scale infrastructure projects across Australia. With a diverse portfolio including mining, LNG installations, power stations, and telecommunications infrastructure, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-impact projects on a short-term contract, with strong potential for extension. Project Overview: Our client has been engaged to deliver a Feasibility Study through to EPCM construction and commissioning for a major infrastructure client. The scope includes Greenfield and Brownfield development, complex terrain earthworks, construction of new crushing facilities, and transmission line installations. Job Summary: As a Contract Administrator, you will play a key role in contract formation and administration across the project lifecycle. Your expertise will ensure that all contracts are executed in line with project requirements and compliance standards. Key Responsibilities: Implement the Supply Chain Assignment Schedule and Standard Work Process Procedures. Maintain continual review of contract progress, alerting management to financial or technical risks. Coordinate with project teams on matters impacting contract performance and compliance. Administer complex contract changes, negotiate settlements, and resolve disputes. Represent our client in moderate-complexity contractual discussions. Lead preparation and issuance of bid request packages and related documents. Review bid tabulations and supplier recommendations for accuracy and compliance. Execute commitments within delegated authority and escalate where required. Develop and maintain project master contract documents and terms. Direct and participate in commercial negotiations as required. About you: Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) in a relevant discipline. 10–13 years of relevant experience (or 14–17 years without a degree). Strong background in contract management within engineering or construction projects. Advanced contract formation and administration capabilities. Strong analytical and negotiation skills. Proactive problem-solving approach with ability to resolve complex contractual issues. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
