These primary responsibilities relate to the programmed and reactive maintenance of equipment and facilities infrastructure across Cabrini Health. This role requires a deep understanding of facilities management issues related to complex sites, Australian building regulations, hospital accreditation standards and compliance with occupational health and safety regulations is essential, as is keeping abreast of evolving standards regarding Health Service buildings and infrastructure. Reporting to the Director of Support Services, the position is based onsite at Cabrini Malvern, with travel to other sites required, dependent on the demands of the role. Some of the key responsibilities include: Ability to drive an engaged culture and build and lead a team of trade professionals to achieve KPIs and desired outcomes. Develop strong and trusted relationships with senior executives, clinicians and management staff. Demonstrated ability to interpret and communicate technical concepts to all levels of management outside the engineering field. Ensure effective collaboration and communication between the engineering team, contractors, service line managers, and key stakeholders. Apply strong financial and business acumen. Ensure efficient and effective operation of all plant and equipment is achieved. Ensure that all operational and/or maintenance work meets current Occupational Health and Safety, and Plant Safety requirements. Ensure that only suitably qualified or trained staff or contractors undertake work that comply with Cabrini WHS requirements. About you The successful candidate will bring their expertise and knowledge in the principles of engineering, engineering design, and management skills from a complex health service organisation, preferred. You will need to have the following: Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field, highly preferred. Demonstrated exceptional project management skills. A demonstrated capacity to build and lead a team of trade professionals to achieve KPIs, outcomes, implement change and drive an engaged culture. Highly developed communication skills with a proven ability to collaborate and ensure strong relationships with all stakeholders. Demonstrated understanding and experience of the principles surrounding Building Codes of Australia. Demonstrated understanding and experience in applying Safety Regulations and Principal Contractor obligations. Demonstrated experience or exposure to managing and delivering of 'Total Asset Management' principles within a large complex multi-site/ facility environment. Demonstrated experience in asset condition assessment, asset valuation, including the development and implementation of strategic asset management planning, quality maintenance procedures and lifecycle modelling in the facilities maintenance service work environment.
