Job Purpose The purpose of this role is to produce all retail cost estimates required including approved mark ups and margins and descriptive and critical information on tender documents and variations provided to the sales and operations teams as well as providing ongoing support to Sales and Operations staff including accurate responses to relevant queries. Key Job Responsibilities Prepare tender documents and variations including accurate descriptions as per Burbank’s policies. Provide fixed costs for required site works. Produce accurate retail costs including sufficient margins. Liaise with drafts people, engineers, builders, contractors, suppliers and project managers. Read and interpret architectural, engineers plans and other relevant documentation. Check on changes of design to assess the effects on cost. Analyse plans and other documentation to prepare materials and labour estimates. Liaising with key internal stakeholders and provide advise where required. Assist with collating data and identifying further business efficiencies and solutions. Key Requirements/Qualifications A minimum of Two years’ experience in the Building industry with a good construction background. Analytical & logical thinker with a creative problem-solving approach. Ability to read & understand drawings & engineering. Good knowledge of the construction process and terminology. Exceptional numerical accuracy and attention to detail. Strong verbal & written communication skills. Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team. Intermediate knowledge of computer software to assist with daily tasks.
