The Opportunity We are seeking a Senior Knowledge Manager, Content to join our Knowledge and Research team, to be based in either Melbourne or Sydney. In this role, you will work closely with the Senior Knowledge Manager – Systems, knowledge lawyers, and other specialists to foster a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration. We are looking for a Senior Knowledge Manager with a core focus on content. The role will evolve and optimise our knowledge solutions to deliver a cohesive user experience. Your superb analytical skills will enable you to consult across various levels and roles, influencing and encouraging effective change. You will collaborate with our heads of practice, our practice-based knowledge specialists and partners, our lawyers and our business services staff. Your daily duties will include: • Leading the development and implementation of knowledge content strategies for specific regions • Driving community connections for mutual benefit, and determining optimal processes for managing knowledge assets • Establishing processes and frameworks to align with practice group requirements • Working on functionality and taxonomies within knowledge solutions • Implementing quality control processes with the global knowledge team. The role requires close collaboration with firm counterparts to create a globally connected knowledge and research function, working with senior stakeholders to ensure effective knowledge content strategies, and identifying opportunities to create value from client-facing knowledge products and services. To be successful in this role, you will have: • Highly experienced (8 years) in knowledge content management and change management in legal or professional services • Deep awareness of relevant current and emerging technologies relevant to knowledge and collaboration, and a working understanding of the relevant disciplines and processes associated with them • An understanding and ability to analyse the key elements of common legal workflows, especially those related to knowledge submission and the delivery of knowledge assets at the point of need • Critical and commercial skills, able to position knowledge content frameworks realistically within a complex a changing operating environment • Excellent project management skills • Excellent leadership and influencing skills • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal • Ability to work under own initiative and autonomously, whilst recognising when best to involve others • Demonstrable ability to work collaboratively with different areas and teams both lawyers and business services • Commitment to, and experience of, legal knowledge sharing systems and processes • Experience in managing multiple projects • Demonstrable experience in aligning with legal practice groups to understand workflows and service delivery priorities.
