About the role As a Wardsperson you will play a key role in supporting the healthcare team by ensuring the cleanliness, safety, and smooth operation of the hospital wards. Your duties will involve maintaining a safe and hygienic environment for patients, staff, and visitors. You will work closely with nursing and medical staff to provide essential non-clinical support within the ward. Efficiently transfer and transport patients, equipment, and furniture around the campus as directed by the Wardspersons Supervisor. Assist with the collection and delivery of blood products, medications, and specimens to various departments, ensuring timely and safe handling. Support patients with meal access and collect late meals when required. Assist with the safe transferring and positioning of patients, including moving them to beds, wheelchairs, commodes, and trolleys. Follow infection control procedures and assist in basic patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. About you Previous experience in a healthcare setting or similar role is desirable but not essential. Ability to work effectively as part of a team &Strong communication skills and attention to detail. A positive attitude and a caring approach to patient and staff interaction. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle varying demands and commitment to maintaining cleanliness and safety in the workplace. Committed to working a 7-day rotating roster.
