The Opportunity Join our growing engineering team delivering Southeast Queensland’s landmark construction projects. Be a vital part of the Queensland Commercial Construction team, known for excellence in the top-tier commercial construction industry. Key Responsibilities Lead and supervise electrical engineering design and documentation for large-scale projects. Provide technical design leadership and project delivery. Lead and mentor junior engineers. Coordinate multi-disciplinary projects from tender through to delivery. Direct the digital engineering team. Develop strong client relationships. Ensure compliance with legislative and health and safety requirements. What You’ll Bring Leadership and problem-solving skills. Experience with multidisciplinary drawings (architectural, mechanical, structural). Construction design experience for large-scale projects. Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) with tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering. Proven ability to manage timelines, create and track Gantt charts, and report on project status. Project management skills. Ability to lead and organise teams. Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Knowledge of testing and commissioning LV electrical infrastructure (HV, SCADA, solar, diesel generation, ITS experience desirable). Cost estimation, budget tracking and reporting skills. Understanding of Australian standards, National Construction Code, and Best Practice in Sustainable Building Construction and how they are implemented on construction projects. Ability to improve concept designs for cost savings. Ability to value-engineer designs to reduce cost while improving efficiency. Organisational skills and attention to detail.
