Social : Recognition programs and social events to celebrate our team's achievements About The Opportunity We have an exciting newly created opportunity at our 76,000 square metre DC at Melbourne Airport, Tullamarine on Day Shift 7am to 3pm. To assist us with the introduction of our state-of-the-art Schaefer automation system we are currently seeking an enthusiastic, highly motivated DC Warehouse Team Leader who will assist in leading the operations of our Automation team . Working closely with the team manager the main purpose of this role will be to coach and train your team throughout the process, ensuring a safe and supportive work culture. You will promote open communication and operational efficiency and have a keen interest in warehouse automation. Reporting directly to the DC Team Manager of Automation your day to day will include: Lead, motivate and support the automation picking team of up to 30 to 40 staff encouraging a culture that is agile and adaptable to change Provide hands on training on the automation roll out in conjunction with onsite Schaefer technicians, in house technical assistants and leadership team Lead your team to ensure orders are picked and despatched within agreed timelines - DIFOT Liaise and communicate daily with key stakeholders of service to our business Prepare and report daily/weekly/monthly as appropriate on agreed KPI measures and analysis to ensure all targets are met Plan all resources to meet varying day-to-day demands Encourage and facilitate multi-skilling using appropriate training and development programs Keep the team informed by holding regular Toolbox Meetings Encourage and maintain a safety-focused culture across all areas of the facility About YOU Ideally you have worked in a similar role and have exposure to warehouse automation. You are passionate about leading and coaching teams to succeed and grow creating a positive work culture that aims to exceed customer expectations. Previous exposure or keen interest in a Greenfield or Go Live automated Schaefer Goods To Person environment would be highly advantageous Proven experience using complex warehouse management systems (SAP EWM) and WAMAS is desirable Previous experience within a fast-paced FMCG environment inclusive of high skus would be advantageous Strong leadership, coaching, training and motivational skills Microsoft Office – intermediate Clear and concise verbal and written communication.
