About Us: The Parklife Metro consortium, in collaboration with the NSW Government, is delivering one of Western Sydney’s most transformative infrastructure projects as part of the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport line. Our consortium—featuring Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild—is delivering this once-in-a-generation project under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP), combining world-class expertise and innovation to build a future-ready rail system. About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and motivated CPS Engineer to manage CPS activities and tasks for effective engineering integration of the design across a critical section on the SSTOM Project. Reporting to the CPS Manager, you will do coordination between design and construction teams, ensuring that RFIs, shop drawings, and construction phase queries are resolved effectively and in line with the design management and contract requirements. This is a key role for someone passionate about design-construction interface management, driving quality outcomes across multiple disciplines, and contributing to the successful delivery of a major infrastructure package. What You’ll Be Doing: - Interface with construction, design, and delivery teams – proactively identifying potential issues and driving timely resolution. - Oversee the management and closure of RFIs and shop drawing reviews in accordance with project procedures and contract requirements. - Support interface resolution with Approved Engineers, Architectural Design Managers, and the Post-AFC Manager. - Manage change and construction queries in alignment with the Design Management Plan. - Maintain and report on CPS performance through effective tracking tools (e.g. InEight, TeamBinder). - Support the construction teams to achieve compliance with statutory, design, and commercial requirements including relevant building codes. - Provide regular reporting to the CPS Manager and project leadership, flagging key risks and escalation points. What We’re Looking For: - Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related field. - Minimum 5 years’ experience in the construction or engineering industry, ideally within large infrastructure or rail projects. - Previous experience as a Design Coordinator, CPS Engineer, or Construction Engineer highly regarded. - Strong understanding of design coordination, construction processes, and contract compliance. - Skilled in stakeholder engagement and issue resolution across complex interfaces. - Excellent time management and organisational skills. - Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with InEight and TeamBinder is advantageous.
