The Role We have an exciting opportunity for an Orderly to join our Perioperative Team at Cabrini Malvern in a casual capacity. We are currently seeking Orderlies to work within our Cardiac Catheter Lab and theatre departments. We offer a supportive environment where our team work closely and collaborate to achieve best patient outcomes and provide high standards of care. The applicant needs to be a helpful and compassionate individual who has a keen interest in assisting others, as a large responsibility of the orderly role involves transport of and interaction with our patients. Key responsibilities include: Transporting patients, equipment and courier items around the hospital. Providing support and assistance, under the direction of a Registered Nurse or other clinical staff. Provide a high level of customer service to patients, visitors and staff. Performs cleaning duties, waste management & maintains cleanliness of equipment. About you We are seeking someone with previous experience (preferable) as a hospital orderly, or from a similar work environment, but not essential. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated individual with initiative and energy to support the Perioperative environment and team. You will also have: Flexible working availability as may be required over a 7-day roster Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team. Ability to take direction. Sound communication skills, proficient in written and spoken English. Ability to work in a physically demanding role. To view the position description click here .
