About The Opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a busy manufacturing workshop. Reporting to the General Manager, some of your responsibilities will include: Designing and engineering innovative machinery and improving existing product lines Creating detailed designs and manufacturing drawings using CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) Collaborating closely with production staff, the sales office, and senior management Contributing to ongoing product development and innovation About You The ideal candidate will possess the following essential attributes: Proven experience in CAD drafting (SolidWorks preferred) in a commercial setting Background in mechanical design and engineering A strong understanding of engineering principles and practical application Strong mechanical competence and practical ability Self-motivated with excellent planning and organisational skills Ability to collaborate across departments and communicate effectively You will also have: Experience in designing and manufacturing conveyors or bulk handling equipment (desirable) Mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent industry experience (desirable) Production knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes (desirable) What's in it for You?
