Position Title: Mechanical Engineer Location: 50 Honeycomb Drive Eastern Creek NSW 2766 Position Overview: As a Mechanical Engineer at Alfagomma Australia, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing technical expertise, developing customer relationships, and contributing to product innovation. From developing training programs to evaluating new product designs, you will be at the forefront of advancing our fluid handling solutions. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement training programs to enhance technical skills of staff and key customers in hydraulic engineered systems. Gain comprehensive knowledge of the mining industry, customer requirements, and relevant technical data. Prepare and submit technical product data and reports to internal stakeholders and customers. Develop and maintain technical drawings in alignment with company policies and liaise with international factories on product development. Translate technical data and drawings from overseas factories into English. Maintain a thorough understanding of Alfagomma products and global capabilities. Analyze competitors, products, marketing practices, and pricing strategies. Manage assigned customer accounts and provide appropriate technical support. Identify opportunities for increased sales and support through advanced technical analysis. Contribute to budgeting and perform associated administrative duties. Provide leadership to implement company policies and procedures. Ensure adherence to quality assurance and OH&S procedures. Evaluate new product designs and conduct research programs. Confirm system and product capabilities through testing methods. Prepare product reports by analyzing information and trends. Provide engineering information and support to internal and external stakeholders. Maintain product and company reputation by complying with regulations. Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and technical teams to maximize product penetration. Analyze and manage product claims and non-conformance reports. Report to the National Mining Manager or appointed manager as directed. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. Accreditation with Engineers Australia Experience in hydraulic and industrial hose and fittings applications. Proficiency in technical computations, engineering principles, and manufacturing processes. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work effectively in a matrix-style reporting structure.
